Partly scracht built cockpit, to fit the PE parts for the Hasegawa kit and correct some errors from the kind of made up Revell cockpit.

The air intakes fit was surprisingly good, after forcing the warped upper fuselage into place with clamps and lots of super glue.

Wings and pylons are positionable, the Revell mechanics work well.

The cockpit sides are more putty than plastic. There was a huge step because of bad fitting and the panel lines were totally wrong anyways.

Rescribed the false and missing panel lines on the front below the cockpit on both sides.

Masking to spray the areas where radar absorbent paint was applied in '91.

Some parts painted and a little scratchbuild on the cockpit canopy. The kit does not allow the canopy to be open, but with a little bit of modification (that's cutting) it should be doable.

Gears attached, gloss👍 coat applied, next step decals.

Some decals on the tanks and sidewinders. The red stripes are painted, as the stripes on the missiles. Decals are from a Heller Tornado kit, the F.3 kit only has decals for the jet itself. Please ignore the misaligned decal on the third sidewinder, this will be the spare to make space for the Phimat.

First decals set, part of the Air-Graphics Models decal set. They need very long to seperate from the sheet but then they work really well.

Gloss-y coat to seal in the decals, mounted the drop tanks and the pylons. Next step is weathering.

Another project on the bench. I had this kit as a kid and built and painted it with the smallest available brush and unthinned Revell enamel paint. Hope this one will look slightly better in the end 😉

Thanks mates for the interest 🙂
The panel lines below the cockpit were just vertical ones, which is not correct as there are multiple access ports with lids. Also the fit was very poor here, had to putty and sand the area multiple times, as well as at the back around the horizontal stabilizers.
Airbrushed panel by panel and then sprayed some light coats to tone everything down.

Decals are now complete and I also masked some smaller areas off and sprayed them. Next is clear coat to seal the decals in, then finishing the cokcpit and some weathering.
