Hi Philip,
I like your fine detailed cockpit. The wood grains are well done!
The preparation with gloss coat for Alclad colours is an innovative idea! I`m right??
I do a simmilar job as I prepare the entire model surface with a Micromesh polishing set!
Chapeau, grand seigneur Philip 🙂

Great shine and a nice touch those black panels.
On the site they recommend alclad clear base ALC-303 so no worry about any reaction.

To me the Alclad coat looks ok, a second coat will result in a more "factory finish" that probably needs more weathering. I like it as it is now, keep up the good job Phil ! 👍 👍

As I can examine on your photos, the application looks smooth! It is very difficult to give an absolutely precise verdict!
But as previously posted it looks very smooth and fine!!

No seal till the decals are on, I've just tryed with Daco setting and it works great on the Alclad, after setting decals I must seal it to get it smooth, witch one I will use is the qeustion, Semi glos or glos from alclad?

No sorry Philip,
because 2013 I don`t wanna participate at so much events as the last years!
I/We believe the time is coming to step back for a while. But we come back, no question! 🙂

Great job on the wood finish on the cockpit floor! It looks very realistic. Why did this plane not have the flat black paint/sand mixture applied to the floor?

Philip, it looks great and that's what counts! Research is overrated - I usually do too much, and end up with a project that takes months. I can't stop myself, every time I try to build OOB, I end up changing something because of research! It's a disease...
