Thanks dude! I didn't want people to think I'd fallen off the face of the Earth. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!

Thanks Frank, I will try to post some pictures on the other work I am doing as well.
Query/question - what do you use to keep small PE parts in place? I use superglue on my PE, but getting items to keep still (picture 10 thumbs at work!) both before glue application and while the glue dries has been very difficult. Any thoughts/suggestions are welcome.
Cheers!

Hi Anthony,
I also use superglue, but not the fluid one. Superglue gel takes some more seconds to dry, which gives you time for corrections. However, after 5-10 seconds the parts are fixed. I usually use the good old finger method... hold it in place until the glue dried...
May be others have better methods, which I don't know...😉

Thanks Frank - I must confess that I did not know that superglue came in gel form. I will look for it directly. I have used the "old finger" method, which translates to the "old thumbs" method for me. Actually, the more I work with PE the gradually steadier my hand becomes. Sometimes, despite research and reading "how-to's," I wonder whether I am using the best methods. Such was the case here. I think superglue gel and someday a steadier hand will help. 🙂
Happy New Year to you and the rest of the Scalemates!
Cheers!

Glad I am not alone with the " finger- superglue- PE" problem 🙂 I have read ( never tried it myself) that some use " Future" ( floor wax) for tiny PE parts.
PS: For us Germans/ Austrians Future should be " Erdal Bodenglänzer"

Well, last night I went out and got the superglue in gel form. I went back to work on a few of the PE parts on the Jagdpanther, some had driven me nuts previously and one came loose while I worked. It was brilliant! I had far more control over the tiny PE parts than before. Because I had control over glue application, I had stronger bonds on parts that had come off previously. Now the fingers/thumbs were still not quite as effective, but I am working on that! I don't know about Future but have some and may give it a shot.
One of the problems I experienced earlier was that some PE has very little surface to surface contact area compared their size. Liquid glue would not provide enough traction to hold it in place while drying. The gel provides far more traction.
Thanks Frank!!

Hunter, thanks for the query. Actually, I have made progress since I last posted. The engine deck is now complete with all PE attached. I also have completed the gun mount w/ the AM barrel and attached the muzzle brake. I am working on the top hatches which I plan on posing open. While sitting or watching TV w/ my son I am cleaning up the indy treads (boring but needs doing). I will do the wheels last. I have painted several AFV's with the wheels on and one with them off. Given the wheels are three deep on this beast, I think I will paint them before attaching.
I will take a few pictures and add them tomorrow or Thursday.
What are you working on these days?

Album info
PE additions to the hull and the engine deck. The rear still needs to have the jack assembled and the engine deck still has a couple of items to be assembled and added.
