how is the fit of this big airfix bugger? is it the new, soft airfix plastic?

I've closed up the fuselage and put on the wings. I've also realized that I have no room to display it...pics will be up later.

Yeah I think it works out about the same in the UK. I've got it on my wish list and was thinking of maybe doing a display along side my 120mm Guy Gibson figure. Something for the future.

That'll be awesome! I was going to get a Guy Gibson figure, but I'm so bad at painting figures that it'll come out looking nothing like him

Give it a go Brandon as it adds a bit of variety to the hobby. I can recommend any work or books by Calvin Tan which inspired me to try and improve my figure painting.Having said that some off the work at the model shows I go to,done by modellers who really specialize in this area makes anything I've done look second rate.

I got the canopy masks for the Lanc. I just gave up after hours cutting tiny tape squares. Also pics will be up in a minute.

I finished masking the main canopy pieces and I painted them. Pictures will be up either later tonight or tomorrow afternoon.

I added parts of the landing gear. Also filled more seams. I did a quick paint job, that's why it looks like crap. I'll fix it later on.

I spilt some super glue on this one. So I'm starting over with the matchbox kit.

Yup. It's all dried on it and melted some detail. And the matchbox kit is pretty nice. The fit is alright and so is the detail but you have to remember the kit is from 1983.

Sadly no. I salvaged as much as you could. Like windows and landing gear. But it's all melted and ruined. I could save it by rescribing everything but that would be to much work.

They're coming. My internet is extremely slow. They're being uploaded now. There should be less than 5 minutes left.

In the top right of pic 2,those are some resin wheels I found (that I forgot I had). I think I cleaned them up real nice. They should fit fine.

I started to paint it. Now only one or two more coats on the green then I'll call it good. Next I'm on to decaling.

I have this kit in my stash along with the Airfix (boxed under the MPC label) tucked somewhere way in the back. Going to watch and see how you do. I don't want this to end up in my bookcase of procrastination - link forthwith - Display Case of Procrastination | Album by robbd01 (1:1)
