Cpt. Winters, "Band of Brothers", 250mm
"Band of Brothers" was one of the most decorated and commercially successful TV-series of the last decade.
Thanks to the polish figure manufacturer Adalbertus who brought us one of the most remarkable characters, the Lieutenant/Captain/Major Dick Winters, played by Damian Lewis as a high quality resine bust.
The bust divides into four pieces: base, bust, rifle and helmet. The parts are attached to heavy sprues which can only be cut by saw. But besides they are easy to handle. The head can be shown with or without helmet. Of course I wanted both and kept it removable even when putting it on and off the hair color got bruised somewhere.
Captain Winters wears the M43 army jacket in US dark green, which became the standard uniform during "Market-Garden". The shirt still has the more yellowish M42-tone. Base colour of the helmet is US-olive-drab. The painting was done with Vallejo Model Color, mixed with lots of glaze medium of the same origin.
