This was the great paint experiment. I painted it with chrome silver and then tried to clear coat it with Testors Gloss Coat. It washed the paint partially off and dulled the finish. I stripped it with DOT3 brake fluid and then repainted it in the chrome silver. Not quite what I was looking for. Today I ordered the 1978 Corvette Pace Car from Revell. My plan is to paint it steel on the top and aluminum on the bottom and then hopefully get a good Gloss Coat on it. Another learning experience. Es-haq and Ivo, I am glad you like it. My wife had one just like it back in the day and I tried to do this one the way she remembered her car.

The Indy 500 is called "The Greatest Spectacle in Racing" and the Corvette, "America's Sports Car". During the 62nd Indy 500, for the first time ever, a Corvette brought the racers to the line. The selected '78 Vette was powered by a 350 cubic inch V-8 engine. It probably could have given some of the racers a run for their money.
