I remember more putty and sanding than one would expect with a new kit. But overall no big problems. It also depends whether you want to deal with some shortcomings or just let it be. Namely, wing trailing edge is very thick, intakes and cannon ports are oddly shaped. Intakes were corrected in later boxing of the kit. For cannon ports, on one Vampire I built earlier, I used thick hypodermic needles to remodel the ports. Here I just let it be. It's not visible from above = good enough for a display case.
