A little update to anyone that has an interest in the UFO/UAP subject! First of all if you don't care then don't look! But if you are interested then you may like to check out the story that broke on social media the other day relating to a photo of an alleged UFO crash that was shown by no other than Ron James... Head of MUFON (Mutual UFO Network) one of the largest civil investigator groups that's been around for a very long time.
He held up a black and white photo of a UFO crash and within the first few hours a few of us model builders were jumping online to say that the figures seen in the photo where nothing but Tamiya 1/35 figures posed with a very crude diorama of a car hubcap! This blew up pretty quickly and several modellers jumped on saying the same thing!
Anyway here's a link to the follow up podcast with John Greenewald from the Black Vault. Scalemates got a bit of a plug with the photo at 32:24 minutes showing the kit photos watermarked from Scalemates! This may be because i also mentioned Scalemates on another page as a reference for the model kit information! So there you go Tim we managed to get Scalemates mentioned in the process of debunking the photo!

Hey all did a bit of a update to my profile (Be warned don't snoop around in there if you can't handle the UAP/UFO topic! been nice knowing ya! we don't have anything in common so no loss to me i don't care) I also added a few new kits. Just got the "bigger" stunning new Meng Dune Atreides Ornithopter in 1/72 WOW what a kit! Around 31cms long with a wingspan of around 70cms from it's 8 insect like wings.
There's a second Ornithopter on it's way soon. keep an eye out for that if you like Dune. Personally I've was never a fan of the boring dark looking movie from the 80's but because the same guy that did Blade Runner 2049 did the new movies i thought I'd give it a go. First one mmm... O.K. Second one a bit more action so not so bad, I love the aerial battle that takes place with these cool looking dragonfly aircraft.
I haven't spent much time on scalemates over recent months. been a lotta crazy shit happen in the last couple of years other than covid. My mother passed away she was nearly 90 but now at peace. I looked after her for the last couple of years and it was challenging at times.
There was also a high speed 120plus km's an hour car crash 15 feet away from my bedroom window a few months before my mother's passing. Police measured the SIDEWAYS yes i said SIDEWAYS skid marks (You should off heard that! i did) on the perfectly dry road at over 43 meters! it was painted on the road for some time with yellow paint. It wrapped the car around a large tree crushing the driver's side door into a v shape about 2 feet into the drivers side He clipped a parked Mercedes C63 further down the street then tried to floor it to get away from the scene of the accident but it broke the front left wheel almost off his car and turned sideways sliding out of control into the tree outside my house. There was no way he was doing only 50km's a hour. While i was in bed sick, Stupid bastard just escaped death by no more than a few centimeters from his head! wrapped his car around a very large tree. (Tree's doing fine by the way) I rang the police they put me onto the Ambulance service and i told them to just send a meatwagon and just come clean the mess up please! I didn't care about him i didn't feel well enough to rush outside.
Anyway a few other neighbors came out to turn off the car engine that was revving it guts out thought it was gonna blow a piston through the block or launch towards my bedroom window as the car was facing right at the window a new Toyota Corolla lucky the impact broke both the driveshafts clean off the front wheel drive and was just revving like crazy! Oh yea I got myself a piece of shotdown Russian Su-25 Frogfoot from a good friend in the Ukraine! Nice little souvenir to place next to a model i will do of that very same aircraft, see my photo album for photos!
Other than that things have been pretty quite of late, around here.

Just brought one of these now as i realized i only had one single seater in my collection the other ones i have being two seater aircraft. And the Italeri/Zvezda kit is a little hard to get a hold of these days.
Because a few months ago i was able to "acquire" part of one of the real Su-25 aircraft that just lets say.... "made a mysteriously unplanned decent from the skies over a neighboring country" with the help of a missile! So of course i plan to model this exact aircraft. The real aircraft was believed to be 12 red RF-93027 from around March 2022 over a forest area near Kyiv Oblast.
This twisted mangled piece of aluminum was part of the larger parts that was recovered and cut up for sale to collectors, it's from the fuselage covering around the engine housing. It's buckled and contains a small hole where a piece of shrapnel shot right through it.
As a point of interest any body that might like a "souvenir" from the ongoing "Special Military Operation" just look at e bay for many listings from uniforms to tank parts and aircraft parts! that are offered for sale. Or talk to a good friend directly in the country like i did.

This one is exactly the same as the German first release but contains 2 extra sprues with some of the air to surface missiles not included in the first German kit! 2x Bv 246 Hagelkorn, 2x Henschel Hs 293, 4x Fritz X missiles. And should look pretty good in a Japan 1946 what if scheme. And that means some of these weapons could end up on the German kit i also have.
