I'm still keeping with the overall "Studio Ghibli" theme... but this one might be a bit harder to figure out... I've updated some pics of the completed structure. Now it needs some paint.

Well, aside from a top coat and perhaps a bit of a wash, this one is done! In the end it came together relatively easy, but it was tricky working on something so small and delicate. Trying to be careful and gentle kind of backfired though, because I ended up dropping it a whole bunch of times. Luckily it seems to be sturdier than it looks and I had no major repairs.

Catastrophe! I finally finished off the Prop bike and went I went to take one final pictures, the book I was using as a backdrop support tipped over and... thoop! The bike was smashed! Luckily most of the breaks were along the glue seams, so I was able to put it back together relatively easily. The worst bit was the broom handle snapping in half. Oh well, considering that Tombo's bike ends up a smashed pile of junk in the film, I suppose this just makes it more authentic, right? I noticed the wash was a bit too heavy, but the glue was so delicate I didn't dare trying to clean it up. After the glue cures, I might try to clean it up a bit more. I'm also not happy with how the final pictures turned out... so I'll make another attempt.

Album info
A tiny little scratch-build of the "flying" propeller bicycle Built by Tombo pirates in Kiki's Delivery Service. I used some bits from an Academy 1/72 Spad XIII for the wheels and the front frame/propeller. Everything else is scratched up. The witch's broom also acts as a support stand.
