Do I see some seam lines in the trigger cilinder device, photo 2?
How do you find the kit quality?

Angel Yovtshev
Sure you see seam lines, Rui 🙂
The kit is one of the old MiniArt's -with plastic too brittle and a lot of flash(and that means a lot-lot).Yet detail-wise it is on par with current releases of the manifacturer-which means a lot of tiny details, cast in brittle and easily breakable plastic.Tracks are especially tricky-out of 220 links almost 20 broke in two while cutting them from the sprue, I had some tense moments till finding out that I will have enough to build both tracks-count of track links required to build a track run is not given in the instruction.
Otherwise- it is a nice kit with good detailing and good fit.But it is not for the faint-hearted.
I'll take care for that seam line-and for the others you didn't see😉
Thanks mate!

NP, just trying to help.
I know the feeling of breaking track links you never know if in the end you have what you need.
Thx for the review 👍

Great paint job in this nice model, Pavel 👍
I would just add, that I suspect, those diesel engines would expel such big black clouds that the exhaust tubes or that area would be a bit more blackened as normally happens...

Thanks Spanjaard and Rui!
You are right Rui! I'll add more sooth on and beneath those exhaust, thanks again!

Glad to help Angel.
Beautiful model. I would like to get such good painting results with my T26 🤔
Did you made the tarp and the wood trunks or they come with the kit?

Thanks again Rui!
I've made both the trunks(decorative branches from IKEA) and the tarp
(napkin+white glue) by myself.
Painting was done using AKAN's 73020 (4BO Dark Green) as basecollor, all panels middle sections were lightened by applying and drybrushing small quantities of Abt.502 Buff or Faded White, then Abt.502 Faded Green was applied to the corners of each panel and once again drybrushed till blending. I skipped the usualy applied Green-Blue Filter(Adam Wilder) because I was happy with the results.
Hope this helps 🙂

Thx Angel, it sure helps.
Did you use any varnish before the drybrushings?
And yes, you should be very happy with the results.
Great work and idea on the IKEA branches, I will have to look for them.😎
The tarp is also nicely wrapped 👍

Yes, I sprayed Tamyia Clear before applying oils.
My IKEA branches are varnished in very dark brown(almost black), I only needed to sand them in strips, till the wood collor shows up, and then strengthen it's appearance with heavily diluted Tamiya Clear Orange and some Wood Wash.

Nice model, well done 🙂

But a question from a newbie to washes etc... What is a wood wash? A tan hue?
14 October 2017, 18:02
Angel Yovtshev
Thanks Rene!
To your question- I use AK Interactive's Wood Wash(AK263), which is enamel tan wash, or-like in this build- the darker Wash for Green Vehicles(AK045).

Thanks for the info 🙂 I'll try to mix some up for myself with Revell enamels 🙂
Might try the IKEA twigs on one of my current models as well. The plastic logs supplied look a bit too smooth😉
