Thanks Lukasz. The Nimrod was my first build after a long break of not making models. Jumped in at the deep end and would have done a few things different in hindsight but it is not a bad model. 🙂

Haha, I know it's all very Grey and Green 🙂 I have a Black and Yellow Texan T1 and Jupiter T1, a White and Blue Avenger T1 plus a couple of different Blue Dauphin 2's to make, does that count? 😄

Are all those kits in 1:72 scale? (I guess so) Fascinating when comparing the sizes to each other in the same scale.

And no less than three merlin helis. Ofc, they do look very beautiful I think. I have learned that the norwegian rescue service will have "merlin" helis with some special configuration, and fancy white and orange paint work. I will consider scratch building the extra parts, as there probably aren't any kit for this particular configuration. I managed to save four images showing the look of this configuration and paint scheme if anyone is interested in that. The promo images also indicate every tiny bit of added equipment on the hull of the airframe.

Hi Treehugger. Yeah they are all 1:72 scale. I was surprised by how big the Merlins are in comparison to the Chinook. I always imagined a Chinook to be much bigger. I scratch build quite a few bits for the Merlins as they've had a few extra parts added. I don't think there are any extra parts sets, I certainly didn't find any when I made these. I do know that there are markings for a Norwegian SAR Merlin in the Xtradecal set if you need to find those. Includes the daglo orange stripes. hannants.co.uk/product/X72279 I know Italeri are due to bring out a HH101 Caesar at some point. Might be worth waiting for as it should have the correct nose and window configuration for a Norwegian one. Or at least easier to convert if not identical.

Thanks for the decal tip. It never occurred to me that those might exist.
Here are the four illustrations I saw once, should be four jpegs in one 7zip file and nothing else. They show the details of all the thingies on the outside. I don't know how many months that zip file will stay there: mediafire.com/file/2..276eo/rescue.7z/file

Treehugger, I couldn't get that file to open. There are photos of Norwegian SAR Merlins on Flickr for references flickr.com/search/?t..egian%20sar%20merlin

I tested the uploaded compressed file, it should open. Presumably it will open with any zip like compression tool. Either winzip or 7zip (free afaik).

Thanks for the photos. Too bad the nose is ugly compared to the plain version of the Merlin, and I did not notice this until now. 😠

I wish Kitty Hawk would do the UH-1N in 1:48 scale, like they did with UH-1D. They did the UH-1Y, but it looks somewhat different from the UH-1N.

I'm a big fan of 1:72 scale. All of your models looks great. Congratulations!
