Me 262A-1a Schwalbe (WIP)
Cockpit detail is simple and accurate
Very good fit
First colours applied
RLM66 cockpit, very dark, so did not worry too much about weathering
Seatbelts from a generic Eduard 73002 PE set (Seatbelts Luftwaffe WWII Fighters)
Some sanding
Using AK Primer and Microfiller AK 758
The fit of the entrance is the engines is not great...
Sprayed RLM76 using Gunze H417
RLM82 using Gunze H422
Masking and sprayed RLM81 using Gunze H421
Splinter camouflage in all its glory! 🙂
Painting the small mottling on the sides
Highlights
Decals applied, no major issue, except for the blue and red bands
Intermediate Gauzy agent applied prior to decalling
Pin wash with AK and Ammo A.MIG 3532 oil applied

Thanks guys. Progress will calm down in the next weeks, with the August holidays, but it will pickup after that again. 🙂

Wow. Are there any 262 kits that go easy on the putty supply?😉 nice work! Especially on this smaller scale.
And I agree on the MRP RLM66, very dark stuff. Didnt bother with weathering that much as well 🙂

Nice progress, Ricardo! The build reviews I have seen all mentioned a "questionable" fit of the engine nacelles to the wings. Looks like you have done a great job sorting that out!

Thanks mates, it did take me some time with the putty and sanding sticks, but nothing extremely bad, I should say. Let's see how this progresses now.

Thank you. Hope I get a few more hour of bench time next week - mottling, highlighs and shades to follow

Applied the decals today. I should have painted the bands, because the decal gave me a fight and broke in the union on the top - some fixing to do

Fingers crossed Ricardo. Had the same issue with my P.7a last week and had to move the fuselage band decal bit backwards (than in original) in order to make its ends meet 🙂

Yes. I'm sure it'll be just fine - the area is small, I'll sand it a bit and paint it.
