Looking really good. Will start mine in a few weeks.
Can you say something to the build so far? Problems, hints etc?😉

Thx mates.
Sören, to be honest there is nothing realy special. Lots of details in de cockpit, overall good fit of the parts. Just take your time and testfit everything twice. And if I where to build a second one I will get me a masking set for the clear parts. Masking all that glass takes a lot of time.

Can't wait for an update. I order mine today. Any reason why you are not using the decals?

because if you do it well (and Eric seems to be really good at it) it will look better than most decals?😉

splendid airbrush skills... nicely done. Is that camo completely freehanded (except for the markings)?

Fantastic job so far! Great airbrushing skills, the pre-shade alone is a work of art. I hope the wing-fuselage fit is perfect?

Thx mates. The saga continues.
@ DarthPanzer, couple of reasons for painting the markings. It looks better like Spanjaard pointed out, it is easier to weather (you can use pré and post shading techniques, fading, ...), a lot of decals don't settle down well, you don't have to worry about silvering, ......
In the last series of pictures you can see what I mean when you look at the speedbreak. It is easier to paint than to use the decals.
Everything is freehand except the line between the sand and blue. And of course the markings. For that I use home made masks.
@ Erik, the wings aren't glued in place yet. So it looks promising.

The end is near. Some more weathering and then installing all the small bits and it will be done.

What an amazing piece of work. Paint work looks out of this world. I keep taking second glances at the detail. Were the top surface stripes freehand via airbrush? Or were masks employed?

Thx mates.
@ Bryn, everything was airbrushed. Only way to go in my opinion.
Today I bought Camouflage masking putty from AMMO. I will give it a go next time I have a complex paint job.
