I have one of these as well. Watching to get the idea of the build.

It has been pretty simple, the hardest part being so far the match up of the frame parts, and the frame around the engine, but that took just a little patience and it was good. So far the fit has been pretty good, not much flash, but there are seams on a lot of parts that require a bit of sanding. I love these sanding sticks from Squadron, they work really well, hard to get over here in Germany though, shipping costs a lot, but they work really well for clean up.

I use the sanding sticks from Flory Models in the UK. Has quite a range of them.

I will look into that, I do get quite a few things from the UK because the shipping is a lot cheaper and faster.

I think it looks pretty good but I am not happy with the interior color. Instructions say Revell 45 which is faded olive, maybe they were trying for Faded Green Zinc Chromate. After doing a little looking on the Internet and watching a couple of MASH episodes where the helicopters come into play like "The Cowboy", it looks like the interior color is the same as the exterior. The tail is also not red and white striped like the instructions say. I am not saying that the helicopter in MASH is 100% correct though, these helicopters in MASH were probably later models of the Sioux, and I dont think they were the exact model they used in Korea. found a picture of a Sioux from Korea on the Internet, gonna go by that.

I got it finished now, was having a bit of a problem trying to get the cockpit glass on and keeping it strait, but I posted a picture of how I got it done. I didn't paint the stripes on the tail because the picture I found of a a wartime bird didn't have those. I was also thinking of whether or not I should put the red crosses on the front of the liters, but I did just because. The warning I have for anyone wanting to build this. You have to cut the decals out because the borders are pretty big and get in the way. I didn't cut all of mine out and it is noticeable. It went together well, some seams, no flash to speak of, not a lot of pin marks that are very noticeable. Think it turned out pretty well.

Here is the build. Looking at the part trees yesterday afternoon before I started, it looks like a pretty simple build. Kinda what I need a lot of right now. I dont agree with all the colors though, Revell 46 is far too dark for these helicopters, I am using Model Master Olive Drab. The interior also as light olive, dont think that is right either, think it would probably be medium green, but I dont have that so I am using the Revell 39, which his a bit darker but Ok I think.
