Looks fine, wish I built that nice looking jets when I was that young😉
However imo we deserve sharper pics here, like the ones in your WiP album 🙂

I'll have a go, it was awkward to take pictures with one hand while holding it up. 🙂

I added a couple more, hopefully they are a little better.

Nice work

Ah, that's the story 🙂 Definitely shaking hands are not helpful for macro pics...
I think the build is fine for a beginner and I'm sure once you started publishing here mates will help you along (as already started to happen) to improve with every step forward.
Good to see you got the bug 🙂

I still can't get over how big it is... I never realised how big modern aircraft were, I guess this is why they tend not to be in 1/48 scale.

Looking Nice Katya! Love the color scheme.

Thanks! It is "Blue 01" Which was the paint scheme of the only Su-47 built. The writing on the side reads "OKB Sukhoi" almost like an advertisement. It also has tiny golden eagle emblems behind the intakes, which link back to the aircraft's name "Berkut", which is Russian for "Golden Eagle".

Nice! Always liked that plane, too bad it was just a prototype.

Nicely done, the finish came out well. Pretty eagle😉
I'm not much into modern jets, but have a weak spot for forward-swept wing designs like the Su-47 or X-29.

Normally I don't like modern aircraft, but I make an exception for this. The only other modern aircraft I am likely to make though is the X-32, if I can find the kit for sale.

SCM Search: Boeing X-32

Take a look at the kits🙂 you can get a nice overview on scalemates, but with more mainstream subjects like Tiger or Sherman tanks you might want to refine the search a bit.

Oh I know there is a kit, but finding just the X-32 kit is proving difficult, and I don't want to have to buy the X-32 and X-35B set just to get the X-32.

Well done. Congrats!

Careful with the pointy nose on that model if you have kids around.

I already broke it once Treehugger, I was trying to hang it from a hook and it got bashed into the ceiling, had to superglue it back on.

Better to be safe than sorry, in case kids play with it. Something I've been thinking about when oogling at metal pitot tubes for aircraft. I can't give a kit away to anyone I think, unless I break off the pointy tip on kits, the pointy tip is just too dangerous imo.

Well if the kids get into my room, my wrath shall be great and terrible.

😄
Yeah the X-32 would be available in poland. But I remember the fee you'd have to pay...

Yes that's a thing I've been wondering as well... Resin and plastic parts would break off before doing serious harm, but the metal ones might actually hurt if glued in well. Has anyone had problems with that?

Don't rely on Plastmodel statuses, they are all green always (and this is the case). Somehow their communication with scalemates doesn't work properly.
You'd better check ebay or visit Telford😉

"My wrath shall be great and terrible" I laughed way too hard to this

That doesn't ship to the UK Ingo F, and sadly whilst I have seen it on ebay, it is more than buying the set with X-32 and X-35B.

Thats a shame. 🙁

Hey Katya, I have the Italeri's 1/72 X-32 and X-35B you can have. Send me an PM on how to send it to you.

That's one cool looking plane. I'm off to the internets to research!

Very nice! I like it. 🙂 The only thing I would say is start trying some masking. That is the best way to get consistent crisp lines.

You are the opposite of me. I dont have much interest in doing planes pre 50's. There are a couple I may do at some point, but if it was out of service prior to Korea, its kind of blah to me.

As for kids, mine are all grown. But they knew all hell would break loose if they went near the models. LOL I would not use metal pitot tubes if it was something I was building knowing it was going to be handled by kids. I have managed to stab myself a couple times so I can imagine what it would do to a kid. But, like I said, that was never an issue in my house. LOL

I don't have my own children, but I do childcare for my parents a lot of the time. All my models stay shut in my broom closet, I mean bedroom. That's why I built this one with landing gear up actually, I really wanted to build it with gear down, but I just didn't have the shelf space...
