Yes, Fun project, I want to depict the angel wing corsair in flight.
I still need to print the nose art. And it's a good training for the tamiya.

haha I get it. Yes Tami Corsair is in the stash. along with every 1/32 kit they produced.
I have screwed up the my first Tamiya mustang a few years ago. I was so afraid at Metal finish, that I did all wrong. It took me some year to dare paint a plane in NMF.
Try building the Revell Stang before, they cost so few.

Its really not easy to make a nice NMF.
But my next one will be this:
Focke Wulf Fw 190 F-8 (Revell 04869, 1:32)

Hi,
I am a new user of scalemates, although...aged. I!ve been far from modelism in the last 30 years, so I need to refresh my skills.
I found this old WIP of yours. I'm in the same situation, this old and cheap box as a training before put my hands over a Corsair Tamiya. Loved your technique for wheatering. Never finished, or simply lazy for update the work in progress? My question is: how many new rivets I see! What was your source of information? Again: did you engrave the panels lines by your own? The kit shows raised lines, as was the custom several years ago. Thanks, Daniel

Hi Daniel,
Talking about an old WIP, that's one 🙂
There has been no updates on this one for a while, in fact, some steps backward. I stripped the paint off as I wasnt completely satisfied with the outcome. I plan in redoing it, the same way but better.
For the plastic parts, Yes, I engraved the whole thing, and got the rivet layout by copying the Tamiya's plastic.
Best of luck with your model.
Cheers
Mathieu

Thank you Mathieu. I've never engraved panel lines before. I'm afraid of making a mess. I'd need for someone to teach me... 🙂
Cheers
