I've been after that MPC Street Charger for ages! Are you combining both kits? This I REALLY want to see!

Looking good, I had one, the real (full size) car had the engine offset to the right side by a few inches to make allowances for the steering gear....(just a car guy on his soap box)

Yes I'm combining the engine from the 73 to the 69, I've made the 70 grill which has to be finished as well as blending the fenders in to make the F&F charger 1/16 scale. I bought the Crager 5 spokes and used tires from another kit. The 73 I made the proper side mirrors for since the car comes with no mirrors at all! Like the Dukes car the 73 and the DMCL car will have my 440 heads and intake on them with a carb and air cleaner.

Munkyslut- I loved those old B and RB engines....except the 400... most were suitable for boat anchors only I don't know what Mopar did to the design but the 400 didn't make power, perform or have longevity. But the 383 and 440 were monsters! Then there was the 426 max wedge with 440 heads....destroyed tires as fast as you could install them.
Sorry for diverting the topic

These pics where to show how far I've gone with this project since I've realized how many unfinished projects I have. I was working on the 73 street charger and somehow a friend talked me into the Dukes of hazard, then while building that saw the potential of the F&F charger! So I finished General Lee and went to something else, then remembered Dirty Mary crazy Larry and started on that all the while molding parts for all of them. So to answer your question Slavo not yet. LOL! I just made the proper nitro decals, the tank does have a mount, there are other hoses that need to be added ect. The trunk hinges and hood/bonnet cut out have taken some time to work out. Thank you for the comments.

LOL! If memory serves me correct that was his fathers car made for drag racing, so that might explain the understeer. Hopefully tomorrow I will post pics of this and the DMCL car.

Some racing terms I learned while working on Cascars, Understeer: when the front of the car hits the wall...Oversteer: when the back of the car hits the wall...Horspower: how hard you hit the wall...Torque: how far you move the wall when you hit it

Whoa! Can you imagine the noise from a blown 426 Hemi with headers and strait pipes!
Mine at least had resonators...
Great work by the way.

Great looking engine! The yellow cables and the "intake" would be cool enough, but that arm-wide belt with the stencils steals the show 👍

Thank you both! Chris it's a drag racing machine, no resonators = less weight so it goes faster! LOL. also that's why ear protection at the drag races are needed!

Thank you for the compliment on this one of a kind project! There has been a lot of custom things on this one so I'm hoping not to disappoint. Also I'm sure munky would agree! I have 3 ,maybe 4 more 1/16's I'm working on at the same time, so don't worry! LOL

I thank you both for the kind words! This is kind of like the General Lee but upped a few levels because of the grill and body work needed as well as other things.

Update: I almost had this finished today! Mounted the car on display base and all, went to put the hood on to complete the build only to find about 12 drops of something that got on it and ate the paint all the way to plastic! SH(T!

Maybe it wants to tell you it wants to stay without, all the beautiful engine wiring & colors shining...😉
But seriously - hope at it was nothing corrosive & at least the plastic is unhurt...

That sucks mate! Stuff like that always happens to me too! I'm not a bad painter, but my luck is always 1 number off the jackpot. Hopefully, the new paint on the hood will colour match perfectly. Best of luck Tim 👍

Loud and clear in Moranbah Tim. But the tears were getting a bit over the top mate. By the way, is Daisy in this one?

Damn, I'll have to find another use for my odd sock collection! On a positive note though, I'm making progress in all modelling areas. You boys might want to get an ERTL semi kit in your stash? My dump truck is an amazing kit! Lots of fun to be had! The Italeri Freightliner FLD 120 special though, that's another Aussie truck. It bites you in the posterior, right at the end!

I tried to drive a Freightliner 120 but they are smaller in the cabin than a CHR Mack.

Awesome pix Tim!
I'd go for a little more smoke around the top half of the wheel rim & a little further up the rear quarter, level with the top of the wheel arch, just my 2 cents worth mate.......... looks awesome as it is 😉

Thank you Aid! That'll be upgraded when I finish. I just threw up a few teaser pics, notice I left out the bonnet and other areas? I've been side tracked with house things and I'm only pecking away at the other kits as well when the test paint is drying after the sanding. I love the way the front bumper/grill came out!

Munky I know you've been waiting for this since I started! I thank you all kindly for the compliments! I started this about a year ago, to be what I hope is the only 1/16th F&F Charger.
