The flock of Mustangs is still growing: these Tamiya kits a a dream to work with; quite a recreation 🙂
Both are planned to be finished as NMF birds, one in US-livery and one in the lines of the RAF

Alcalds "White Aluminum" over gloss black- that is what you can see on this little update. A first round of masking has been prepared to start with different shades of Alclad.

So now we are with the "small scale" Mustangs 😄 Looking great, beautiful cockpits 👍 Shocking masking tape consumption too!😉

Thank you for all your interest and comments! I have uploaded a few new pictures of nearly finished "Bonny Bea" and the RAF Mustang, which will be decaled tomorrow....
Slavo, last pictures in honor of your practical thinking: indeed, the heap of used masking tapes was all used up in masking the Mustangs 🙂

Thank you for all your comments and your interest!

Nice take on one of the least frequently seen Stang versions - I think you got the weathering very reasonable, reflecting what could be expected during the active service life of these dudes. The clear parts also turned out really crisp! 👍

Wow Roland that came out great. I don't know how I missed it on the feed! I agree with Slavo, that canopy came out very good!

Thank you very much for these replies, Slavo and Nathan.
Indeed, the canopy transparency is impressive. A little item is, however, that there was no metal framing on the front and the rear on these canopies produced by Malcolm Ltd 🙂
