There it is - my new model kit! I chose the french Panhard EBR-11 simply because I like it very much and I think it is a very good kit - my first from Hobby Boss and also my first wheeled tank. So let's go! 🙂

Then let's get started! I'm thrilled with the plastic, the perfect hardness to work with. Because I don't like the manufacturers who use very soft plastic mixtures.😉

The wheels look very good so far. Probably it makes sense to glue the tires & rims only at the end or after applying the basic colors?

Definately!

Start the work on the turret and have for the first time tried this mix of Tamiya surface primer & thin cement, which so many of you use to get a bit of structure on the surface. I think the mixture is too thin to get a really nice structure. No idea if I did it right?

Never tried that mix, I prefer using a motor tool. But for me, the texture looks quite convincing, the castings were quite smooth on the real thing:

After a week break, I'm going to continue my wheeled tank. I've already discovered some stumbling blocks with this kit, which won't speed up the construction, but see what kind of solutions I will find for it! Sure you'll be able to give me some advice again.😉

The first construction site on this kit. Unfortunately I had to realize that the suspension of the wheels is designed much too weak, so that they can hold impossible well at it! Therefore I made some washers from 0.75 mm thick plastic sheet myself. How do you like it, or would you have solved the problem differently?

Excellent in one piece plastic barrel, there is really no need for an aluminium barrel!

Let's go to the next construction site with this kit The turret cuff is unfortunately a bit too short, so that you have to attach a little bit so that everything fits. By the way, it should also be mentioned that the tilting function (gun depression) of the turret is no longer given by it. But I wanted to attach it absolutely, because it contributes to the characteristic shape of these tanks for me very much.

What happens if you want to dent the frame of the basket a little and hold the lighter to long to the plastic? Exactly, you have very unnaturally bent plastic! For this reason I had to remove unfortunately a part of the frame. I will try to hide it a little with some accessories. Let's see if I succeed in the end.
