OOB cockpit painting, decals and air-intakes...
![Album image #3 Album image #3](/albums/img/8/1/6/962816-49836-64-720.jpg)
Fit isn't the best - but not end of the world either. Braced internally with sprue as would not sit right without.
![Album image #4 Album image #4](/albums/img/8/2/1/962821-49836-47-720.jpg)
Primer and general fettling of seams, armaments etc.
![Album image #5 Album image #5](/albums/img/8/2/5/962825-49836-10-720.jpg)
Priming and adding back in the raised panel lines removed from filling and sanding.
![Album image #6 Album image #6](/albums/img/8/2/3/962823-49836-58-720.jpg)
Priming and adding back in the raised panel lines removed from filling and sanding.
![Album image #7 Album image #7](/albums/img/8/2/8/962828-49836-96-720.jpg)
Base colour and mottling.
![Album image #8 Album image #8](/albums/img/8/3/4/962834-49836-63-720.jpg)
Shading and seam lines, adding the shading to front of air intakes.
![Album image #9 Album image #9](/albums/img/8/0/9/962809-49836-22-720.jpg)
![Album image #10 Album image #10](/albums/img/8/1/0/962810-49836-30-720.jpg)
Exhaust priming.
![Album image #11 Album image #11](/albums/img/8/1/1/962811-49836-64-720.jpg)
![Album image #12 Album image #12](/albums/img/8/1/2/962812-49836-31-720.jpg)
I wanted to practice metallic exhaust effects. So extended the area.
![Album image #13 Album image #13](/albums/img/8/1/4/962814-49836-61-720.jpg)
Adding weathering detail and fading to the green accents.
![Album image #14 Album image #14](/albums/img/8/1/3/962813-49836-70-720.jpg)
Beginning to take shape and look a lot sharper - you can't see it, but fair amount of shading on nose cone also.
![Album image #15 Album image #15](/albums/img/8/1/8/962818-49836-42-720.jpg)
Wheels and missiles are hand painted - no masks.
![Album image #16 Album image #16](/albums/img/8/2/0/962820-49836-84-720.jpg)
TOO MANY DECALS! And they're old - so not that great to use either.
![Album image #17 Album image #17](/albums/img/8/1/9/962819-49836-43-720.jpg)
Humbrol diluted wash.
![Album image #18 Album image #18](/albums/img/8/2/7/962827-49836-64-720.jpg)
Wash, weathering and hand painting canopy inside and out.
![Album image #19 Album image #19](/albums/img/8/2/6/962826-49836-38-720.jpg)
Getting somewhere now... Not historically accurate painting, but artistic licence used...
![Album image #20 Album image #20](/albums/img/8/2/4/962824-49836-87-720.jpg)
Trying really hard to keep my finish as smooth as possible, not an easy task in a garage.
![Album image #21 Album image #21](/albums/img/8/3/0/962830-49836-16-720.jpg)
Adding an indication of external construction/exhaust flow by using paint.
![Album image #22 Album image #22](/albums/img/8/2/9/962829-49836-36-720.jpg)
And we're done! 🙂 Canopy is not fixed.
![Album image #23 Album image #23](/albums/img/8/3/1/962831-49836-87-720.jpg)
tried hard to indicate weathering to external leading surfaces, hope this gives an impression of wear and flight time.
![Album image #24 Album image #24](/albums/img/8/3/5/962835-49836-30-720.jpg)
![Album image #25 Album image #25](/albums/img/8/3/6/962836-49836-81-720.jpg)
![Album image #26 Album image #26](/albums/img/8/3/7/962837-49836-56-720.jpg)
You can (sort of) see the amount of colour blends/passes I applied to the base coat here.
![Album image #27 Album image #27](/albums/img/8/3/9/962839-49836-72-720.jpg)
I have actually accented (with green) the internal exhausts also.
![Album image #28 Album image #28](/albums/img/8/4/2/962842-49836-45-720.jpg)
![Album image #29 Album image #29](/albums/img/8/4/3/962843-49836-82-720.jpg)

Thanks Simon, it's really humbling when an older one of my builds pops up again because someone as talented as you comments on it. Very kind of you π

Neil I like the build, the weapons are neat! And I like pic 25 as well.
I handled a lot pics for my work using Photoshop, but never did one for my models. π

Album info
Hi there,
Thanks for stopping by to view my latest build #17 the Mig-25 Foxbat.
I build straight 'out-of-the-box' endeavouring to show the build journey in as few photographs as possible - this is my reason for utilising montage imagery to help reduce the image count of an album.
This build was uploaded on the 26th March 2021.
I hope that the you find my build journey informative and helpful.
