Another act of balance between golden-cut photo proportions, perfect geometry of the dio base & the main object and a plethorta of details and small stories that unfold in every corner... And I am the first to comment 🙂 A Neuling job well done in every aspect - again 👍!

Ha! U just beat me to it!
I can add nothing to that glowing comment above except to say thanks for sharing, an absolute pleasure to study 😉

I call fake on the username!😉
Astonishing. Building and painting great models is one thing. But creating a powerful diorama like this... Wow.
And as Slavo pointed out, proportions and well-made photographs underline the overall quality. Chapeau!

I'm out of my comfort zone here, but I have a feeling that the female figure, with that specific "haircut," has indeed a very specific and dramatic "little story" to tell...

@ playtime - yes, my thoughts exactly. I was prompted to subtly refer to it in my comment a) in case this was missed by someone browsing through the pics (after all, there is much to see in this dio) and b) because I thought that the modeller who took care to include such a detail would like to see that people did notice it. So... one may wonder if the title's "petit boche" refers to the woman's baby...

OK but 'la relève' (as on the poster behind the tank) was a programme to encourage French men to go to work in Germany. For each one going a French POW would return home. It was not very successful. So then they invented STO (Service du Travail Obligatoire) which was compulsory. But quite a few of the younger ones escaped and joined the ranks of resistance.

Thanks mates! - Alex and Playtime 222, you got the sad little story behind the girl in my diorama. The baby carried in the bundle by the poor lady is the child of a German soldier whom she had "fraternized" with during occupation. After the Germans have retreated she stands alone now gratefully receiving food from an American soldier. - Olivier, thank you for the interesting information on the "relève programme". Bitter irony and double meaning: "Relève" also is relief and change from hostile German occupation to friendly American presence.

I think we still have some of the buggers camped at Upper Heyford? 😄 *Edit was curious so looked it up - apparently just Lakenheath left plus 2 auxillary detachments

Wow, you are an absolute master at modeling and creating dioramas! I'm completely blown away by your work. I could swear I'm looking at pictures of the real thing. Amazing work!

Thank you Mike for your kind words. They make me blush a little (but also happy of course).

Superb in every aspect, including telling a story. Dio making at it's best, and the icing of the cake, splendidly photographed by Neuling , my hat is off, what a pleasure of a dio
