Geez Augie that looks nice! I almost missed the build completely. That must be a monster of a kit as I thought the 1:48 one was big.

Oh wow, thank you guys I'm blushing!! 🙂
@Bernhard, the Alu is actually done using a wax based gilt called treasure silver (Now called treasure gold silver). I use it for all my NMF / Alu /Silver finishes.

Thanks Choppa, with the right materials and some patience, its easy enough.
Olivier, glad you found it.. 🙂 surprised tho, fairly common in modelling circles I'd of thought.

Weirdly my brother Stu took to it like a duck to water, I still kind of strugle with larger areas . . . .
Anyhoooo......
I thought NMF was a "Bart Simpsonism" ..... Not My Fault !! 😄 😄 😄

Well, if you count what I did back in the 70s and 80s, then another 50 or so. But those all are long gone. And included planes, cars, trucks, sci fi. All of which I have, just havent built any. LOL

Wow - missed the build, but at least managed to see the final pics... Lovely work, all the details on the surface, the colorful decals - very cool. Also the position lights really sit & fit in the wings like on the real plane, nice job! Must be quite a handful on the table too 🙂

Augie is the Master of NMF finishes with the ole hairy stick. I would love to know how she does it. I can not get even close to her, even with a darn airbrush. I have even tried the AK True metal colors in the tubes and still can't get it. Don't know. LOL.

Hehe I've said the trick a number of times. Treasure silver which is a wax guilt applied with a soft flat brush like your waxing a car 🙂 works a treat
