MarkEvery minute of that year and a half shows - you can't rush artistry like this. Photo 27 is the shot of the lot. Probably the best figure modelling I've seen.

Michael OsadciwMark, thanks so much. I appreciate the kind words. I think it took so long because I kept having more ideas for adding little details. It got out of hand. 🙂 The sweater was a nice chance to add some color; but I wasn't up to painting argyle pattern yet. 🙂

Spanjaardhow much did you pay Neuling to have his miniaturization machine??? you guys have to stop torturing people to make them look like scale models and make pictures of it.....
wow Michael. i am out of superlatives. museum quality, perfection.... perfect dio from any point of view. some of the pictures look like reference pictures!

Michael OsadciwThanks so much. I like to try and start with a story and find the right figs to tell it. That MasterBox kit is brilliant. Diorama in a box basically. I've also discovered that my figures looked SOO MUCH better when I started painting modern figs with better sculpts instead of the old Tamiya figures I had used way back in my late teens before I took a 25 year break from modeling. The better sculpts allow me to use a wash technique for shadowing which really helps.

Spanjaardyeah, I remember when I used Verlinden figures for the first time, back in the old days (before my own break(s) ). A good figure can make a hell of a difference. but you did a lot more than just using good figures 😉

Michael OsadciwYeah, MB seems to sculpt really expressive poses and their faces are usually really nice with some personality.
