Tamiya 35059
This kit was in storage for at least 25 years. This is how it looked when I decided to restart it. But with current tools and updated modelling knowledge. I decided not to use the rubber band tracks and ordered Friulmodel metal tracks (ATL-124).
My first experience with an airbrush. What a joy to use. And the results of using an airbrush is amazing.
XF-69 NATO Black base coat.
XF-1 pre-shading.
I decided to add a grab handle for the round engine hatch in the back using copper wire.

XF-61 Dark Green
For an airbrush novice, I'm impressed with the tonal variation even before weathering..

The Friulmodel ATL-124 tracks looks awesome!
Friulmodel tracks treated with AK Burnishing Fluid.
Watched the videos but it's not as hands off as I expected. Simply soaking the tracks missed way too many spots. Prior to burnishing, I did wash the tracks in dish soap and thoroughly dried. Followed that with an isopropyl bath and dry.
Next time I will try brushing the tracks during the wash as opposed to just soaking in the dish soap.
After the initial burnishing fluid soak, I went over the links with a toothbrush dipped in the fluid to get all the nooks and crannies that were missed. I like the results of this process and will do this on the next metal tracks I work on.

Airbrushed with Tamiya X-35 Semi-gloss Clear pre and post decals. Next step.. weathering.
Oil pin wash. 2:1 burnt umber & black. Fairly happy with my first experience with pin washing!
Light chipping.
I cut out the kits styrene (tow) cables and replaced it with copper wire after drilling out the eyelets.
