LEGO time!
gunze super metallic iron as base.
got a couple of places to fix underneath the ac, that's why i used a metallic base for the fit of the kit was terrible right off the start. :/
plan is to do rlm02 and rlm04 prior to the camo colors.

rlm02 and rlm04 both shot and masked.
started off the camo freehand with the darkest color rlm70.
started off the camo freehand with the darkest color rlm70.
rlm75 and rlm79 are on, followed by a w&n cobalt blue oil filter for the result was not exactly what i had in mind, rlm75 was too gray and the rlm70 was almost a gunship gray instead of a black green - amazing how colors affect perception when they are in a camo like this.
topside is done, last step in paintjob is going to be the light blue.

decals are on over va gloss varnish. it wasn't that high shine tbh more like semigloss but did the trick ok. besides eduard's ac specific decals are cartograf so no surprises there but the stencil data is their own poc which generally causes a lot of headache.
anyway all good and well to my eyes so far.
BTW compare the fuselage cross vs. the reference picture, decal's larger than the real one OR the size of the numerals are off?! i did notice the problem beforehand however i had no spare crosses nor i bothered with masking and painting at this stage.

next step is going to be satin varnish and start the wx.
began the weathering with pinwashes over a coat va satin varnish, used mig's blue dirt - probably the only useful thing they ever made so far...*cough*daviesgray*cough*
dirt and dust underneath done entirely with oil paints so far: lamp black, titanium white, yellow ochre, burnt sienna and transparent yellow oxide.
i am awaiting for both the oils and my eyesight to settle, i'll continue with speckles also might use pigments to increase the contrast here and there, then turn upwards for exhausts and wingroots.

This is all folks!.
THANK YOU SCM, Jos for hosting the GB and all the contributors for the lovely builds.
I wonder if it would be possible to make a collage of builds at the end because the variety are amazing, cheers!

guys to anybody who might have solid info i got a q:
now i'm about to do the 2nd camo color there is a discrepancy, eduard calls for rlm02 where as other sources claim the mid color to be rlm75 grauviolet.
for ref here's viktor bauer's mount: [img1]
i turned all available artist's impression to b&w photos to check with the real life ref shots and it looks like rlm75 to me but like i've said i am open to suggestions at this point.
cheers.

Hey Murad, you have fitting problems with the kit? I think they are little gems. Where were the problems?

Hey Eelco. this is the 3rd eduard 109f i built and the quality of them went down progressively.
this one had too much noticeable flash all over + wing to fuselage joint around the wingroots (huge gap) and radiator under the nose were completely off (cowling was simply larger than the slot where it's supposed to go). i dunno maybe one thing led to another from the beginning but this profipack f-4 is not what my very first weekend edition f-2 was in terms of fit.
nothing unusual, to me eduard is a resin and pe acc. manufacturer like hasegawa is a decal printer, i don't consider them to be true plastic scale model companies in the sense of tamiya for ex. if you get what i mean.
