Comparing Reskit 1:72 1000lb bombs with the ones in the Airfix Vulcan kit. The tail units on the Reskit bombs are longer by a big margin?

Hi Andrew, personally I'd trust the ResKit over the Airfix for accuracy. Are you planning on using an after-market detail pack for the bomb bay?

Hi Mark, yes I think I will look for bomb bay stuff. I believe Eduard have got one in the works. I am hoping someone does some after market 7 store carriers. That would really make the bomb bay pop.

I've got a wish for the White Ensign Models bomb bay set:

Mark, wow, that White Ensign Models PE set is bloody expensive. $39 dollars and $4.50 dollar P&P to UK or Europe. I hope someone just comes out with detailed 7 store carriers.

Yes, expensive. But then it's probably got more parts and complexity to it than the Vulcan kit itself. WEM do another two PE sets for the Vulcan. All three sets is a hell of an outlay! 😮

Added a pic of Eduard 1000lb bombs with 114 tail units, Conclusion: The Airfix Vulcan kit bombs are massively under scale.

I am confused, which bomb parts from what kit brand would be accurate you think?

Hi Treehugger. If you don't want to mess with separate tail units. Then the Eduard 1000lb bombs will be easier to use. But Eduard's or Res Kits will be just as good, and both are better than the kit bombs. But the trouble is, that as far as I am aware. Nobody has come out with any after market more detailed 7 store bomb carriers. If you want to use better after market bombs. Then you will either have to hack the kit carriers to make the bombs fit. Or scratch build more accurate 7 store carriers from plastic card. It won't be easy. I wish someone like Eduard should come out with some 7 store carriers.
