![Album image #2 Album image #2](/albums/img/7/6/4/1099764-10307-79-720.jpg)
Finally....everything collected what was in my mind....ready for a start.
![Album image #3 Album image #3](/albums/img/0/7/0/1101070-10307-98-720.jpg)
Release the first parts from the sprue,.....
![Album image #4 Album image #4](/albums/img/0/7/1/1101071-10307-82-720.jpg)
This EUFOR version will also have all doors closed - so I'm lucky, because the Hasegawa interior of this kit is lackinig details. I nevertheless I'm thinking of some improvements,....
![Album image #5 Album image #5](/albums/img/6/7/4/1281674-10307-44-720.jpg)
Here we go,...some improvements of the cockpit section that....
![Album image #6 Album image #6](/albums/img/6/7/5/1281675-10307-66-720.jpg)
...could be seen from the outside.
![Album image #7 Album image #7](/albums/img/1/7/0/1337170-10307-91-720.jpg)
Some steps forward with the interior.
![Album image #8 Album image #8](/albums/img/1/7/2/1337172-10307-43-720.jpg)
Some details to the cabin added.
![Album image #9 Album image #9](/albums/img/1/7/3/1337173-10307-94-720.jpg)
Tryfit....
![Album image #10 Album image #10](/albums/img/1/7/4/1337174-10307-76-720.jpg)
![Album image #11 Album image #11](/albums/img/1/7/1/1337171-10307-85-720.jpg)
The Hasegawa kit doesn't have protruding panel lines, which is nice, but some lines are missing.
![Album image #12 Album image #12](/albums/img/8/4/6/1357846-10307-47-720.jpg)
Same now on the front side - intakes are covered...
![Album image #13 Album image #13](/albums/img/8/4/2/1357842-10307-19-720.jpg)
So here we take a look at the exhaust(s). Left hand the current Hasegawa kit (UH60A) and on the right side the Revell kit (UH60A). Well, both looking not quite right.
![Album image #14 Album image #14](/albums/img/8/4/3/1357843-10307-42-720.jpg)
Here on the left hand I have added the resin exhaust from Armycast. Looks much better,....but a lot of "carving" is needed to fit the resin part onto the fuselage and....
![Album image #15 Album image #15](/albums/img/8/4/5/1357845-10307-18-720.jpg)
....to open it up.
![Album image #16 Album image #16](/albums/img/8/4/4/1357844-10307-22-720.jpg)
...as you can see here - the part shows the exhaust closed. So a milling session was needed.....
![Album image #17 Album image #17](/albums/img/8/5/2/1357852-10307-65-720.jpg)
The exhaust manifold that is visilble on my birds are modelled with "old" and therefore malleable "Dissolved Putty" from Mr. Hobby.
![Album image #18 Album image #18](/albums/img/8/4/8/1357848-10307-53-720.jpg)
Giving it a try - looks quite ok.
![Album image #19 Album image #19](/albums/img/8/4/9/1357849-10307-94-720.jpg)
Manifold on. Exhaust cover on. Intake on. - all dry until now - to see if further adjustments are needed.
![Album image #20 Album image #20](/albums/img/8/5/1/1357851-10307-45-720.jpg)
A view of the left side. Meanwhile I have also glued on the side/forward infra-red device underneath the cockpit doors.
![Album image #21 Album image #21](/albums/img/7/4/0/1466740-10307-18-720.jpg)
Also on the tail we need....
![Album image #22 Album image #22](/albums/img/7/4/1/1466741-10307-28-720.jpg)
...to have sensors.
![Album image #23 Album image #23](/albums/img/7/3/9/1466739-10307-94-720.jpg)
All exterior and interior work is finished now - so the 2 fuselage parts can be joined.
![Album image #24 Album image #24](/albums/img/7/4/2/1466742-10307-33-720.jpg)
All masks on.
![Album image #25 Album image #25](/albums/img/7/4/3/1466743-10307-92-720.jpg)
For motivation purpose I "blue-tacked" fuel tank & external load beam on the chopper. Looking okay.
The tank is not from the Hasegawa kit as this one would not represent the tanks used by the Austrian Blackhawks - it's a spare part from a Revell box that fits (with a tiny mod) much better.

![Album image #26 Album image #26](/albums/img/7/4/4/1466744-10307-93-720.jpg)
A first coat of black primer unvealed some imperfections on the joints and surface.

The Helicopter after the rework and with a 2nd shot of Ultimate selfleveling primer.
![Album image #28 Album image #28](/albums/img/7/4/6/1466746-10307-22-720.jpg)
I did not mention before that I added radar sensores not only on the tail. One pair of the forward looking sensors is from ArmyCast - the 2 others (missile and laser warning system) are "home-made". The Radome was purchased from BrentAir Decals.
![Album image #29 Album image #29](/albums/img/5/2/8/1473528-10307-41-720.jpg)
I was made aware by a mate that I missed to build in radar warning receiver APR-39 also at the tail. So some further tiny scratch work is needed here.

A bit of scratching also...
![Album image #33 Album image #33](/albums/img/5/3/2/1473532-10307-36-720.jpg)
...here on the tail boom. Ready to go in the paint box again

top coat and gloss applied

started to add decals

same issue as with the KFOR version - I missed a canal or hole into the cockpit. So after de-masking the window panes I had to face quite an amount of sanding debris and tiny junks of styrene. So - same procedure: open the window and let in some fresh air 🙂
![Album image #38 Album image #38](/albums/img/1/6/2/1576162-10307-51-720.jpg)
Detailsing goes on,...all in place in the downward area,...e.g. details for attaching the aux. fuel tanks
![Album image #39 Album image #39](/albums/img/1/6/3/1576163-10307-60-720.jpg)
almost done - pits & pieces to be added - plus: waiting for rotors

Summertime always slow down build progress. In addition to that I kind of burned the candle from both ends on this quadruple blackhawk build...but it seems that finally I have sorted out the issues and the builds continue.

Thx Laurent & Finn.
Nice to have you on board Finn. I'd like to invite you to follow up on my 3 other Blackhawk builds too (I am doing my privat quadruple groupbuild here 🙂 ). Things going slow, but forward..... 😉

Thank you Ronan. Your comment is motivating. Doing 4x the same model (with only small variations) at the same time is more exhausting than I did expect. 🙂

As you might have recognized I had a little progress on this one. I just figured out, that maybe I was a bit too motivated to get this chopper primed - did not consider attachment of all the externals (antennas, pitot,..). So some adjustments are needed before continuing with the painting.

Welcome Ekki & Guy Rump.
I have to let you know that some patience is needed here as these 4x S70's I have started are only progressing at a low pace. 🙂

So - after a while here are the first set of final photos on my 4xbuild of Sikorsky S-70. The EUFOR version with aux. fuel tanks.
Thx you Roland for your time and patience & giving me some advice during the photoshooting. I hope to solve the technical issue with my equipment soon in order to follow up with pic's from the other choppers soon.

Thank you Ronan, Neuling, Guy & Matl.
Your feedback is balm on the modeler soul - especally on this Blackhawk build(s). It was quite a journey to get to the end. 👍 thx

Very nice finish and not often you see unusually marked BlackHawk 👍 My only complaint would be the cockpit door windows being bit dirty

Thanks Lukasz.
And unfortunattly you are right, it loooks quite bad - it was a sad experience to find out after demasking that I have somewhere overseen a path where sanding debris could enter the cabin. The rescue operation at the end by removing a glass was only partially a success. 🙁
