Panzer III Ausf. M at Kursk
Assembly of the kit is mostly done and painting can start.
Since I will leave some of the hatches opened, I painted the interior with RAL9001 and weathered it. Although not much will be visible...
Priming all the different parts with A.MIG-2026 One Shot Primer - Brown Oxide.
First coat of primer almost done.
In the meantime the basecoat of A.MIG-0010 RAL7028 Dunkelgelb is being applied.
Waiting for the camouflage...
Some camouflage on the wheels.
The camouflage green (RAL6003) is being applied and this is quite an intensive job.
In the spray booth.

The camouflage is done...
... and the decals have been applied.
They represent a Panzer III of the 2nd Panzerdivision at Kursk.

Also the tools were painted and a filter of A.MIG-1510 Filter - Tan For 3 Tone Camo was applied.
The paintjob and the decals were sealed with a coat of A.MIG-8212 Aqua Gloss Clear Varnish ALC600.
Some chipping has been done. I used a sponge and a small brush for that.
Now it's awaiting it's pin-wash. I hope to start with that this weekend.
After a pause of several weeks out of necessity, the work was resumed again.
Some weathering effects have been applied.
I used A.MIG-1400 Nature Effects - Kursk Soil, A.MIG-3516 Oilbrusher - Dust and some pigments for this.
After all the weathering will be done, it will get an overall matt clear coat.
The wheels still need to get some dust and mud effect.
The crew is positioned for painting.
