I do appreciate your positive comments, thanks a lot guys!!!. I have to admit that I am pretty happy with that project, though it was much longer than the previous ones - more than 3 months, but it was worthy.

Excellent build, the weathering and the contrast of the colours is great. 👍

Thank you Guy for your comment - that was my main goal. With a monocolor camo you can do this kind work.

This is an excellent Zeke. Great paint job with convincing color modulation. I particularly like the way you enhanced the rivetlines without extensive chipping. Very well done. The exhaust stack look also fantastic. Are those kit parts? In every aspect a great presentation.

Hi Michael. Thanks for your comments. To be honest, color modulation was not apply in this case - I find this technique a bit too uncontrolable in terms of the final effect, at least with my skills. I was inspired by the Michael Rinaldi's OPR technique which for me works much better than color modulation - it gives more freedom with color selection and precision with applying and any mistakes are easy correct. As far as riveting - I have applied the positive rivets set from HGW dedicated to this particular Hasegawa kit. This was my first experience with this gizmo and... I'm pretty happy when I applied on the dark background color (upper side of the wings and fusalage) and no chipping ir required 🙂, the rivets are very light in contrast to the dark background but not very convinced on the light background color on the bottom side. They simply disapear. But that might have been my mistake🙂.The exhaust stack are regular, kit parts painted with Gunze Burnt Iron and finished with MIG Gun Metal pigment and Tamiya Soot pastels 🙂

thanx Leszek for your explaination. Did not know of those rivets. I will keep that in mind. The effect on the dark surfaces is very good. Your result with OPR motivates me to try it at last. I have one project on hold as I did not dare it yet.

Do it! Don't hesitate just do it..!🙂 It's safe, if you don't like what you' ve done just take some oil thinner and wipped it out and you can start again. When you like and wnat to go with other colors apply thin layer of clear glossy coat and enjoy...Good luck, it's a great fun🙂

Astounding work on the paint work. I'm particularly impressed with the weathering around the engine cowl and exhausts. I'm looking up Michael Rinaldi's OPR technique right now 🙂
