Miles Magister
Huge parts count. Ok I've already glued the wing halves together.
Big instructions
For my model these parts are not needed.
Kit decals. I think I'll stick with the Max decals from the stash.
Besides decals only other aftermarket is these Aeroclub spatted u/c that were standard on IAC birds (and fitted to the preserved 34 I'm building)
Groovy cockpit details...
And that's the cockpit painted.
And cockpit finished
1 hrs work.
Wings, tail, ailerons and elevators on. Primed. Tamiya LP-3.
Some progress now off work for a few days. Black was glossed and masked. Wing tricolour stripes painted. (Decided against decals).
Stripes masked.
Silver paint on wings (Tamiya Lacquer paint) and AK metal for the polished metal cowling.
Max Decals. Just the 34 and celtic bosses on the fuselage.
I actually don't have a photo showing all this at the same time. Delivery photo shows small 34 on fuse. 1945 photo is nearest to the model but I think cowling is black. Preserved aircraft in the museum shows the 34 and boss but silver painted cowling, or no boss like the title pic on this page. However, its my model and frankly I don't care!
On her legs!
Almost there!
And finished! Not my best effort but a good result for the amount of time and effort put in (not much of either, really). Did what it was intended to. Hassle free modelling.
