Another beautiful project from you Angel 👍👍👍 Can't wait for updates.
How did you do the wooden bed? What size of profiles did you use?
Best regards

Thanks for your praising words, mates!
Tom B- I'm glad trailer load looks interesting as its content clarification took some time(almost a month to be precise). And lot of research- both online and through my refference pool(4 WWII era Bulgarian Bridge-building Manuals).
Joerg R- the wooden bed- and side boards- of the trailer were done using cheap(Chinese I guess) 5 mm. wide wooden coffee stirrers.
The sizes of wooden bed and sideboards were taken from the kits supplied hollow frames(DW do offer a separate set of laser cut wooden sideboards, yet the hollow frames to use with this set are included in the Einheitsanhänger 5t kit).
The wooden bed was easy to do- I needed sanding only the last stirrer glued to fit the bed in the frame.
Different story with the sideboards though- all pictures I have at hand- including the ones from the D 692/42 "Einheitsanhänger 5t Baumuster E5/Ersatzteilliste" purchased for this build- show 6 planks on each sideboard, so each stirrer took some sanding to get it close to 4 mm.
Olly and Neuling-you are both frequent posters on my builds and you know that I have a crush for modelling bridgebuilding equipment and obscure subjects.
Yet this build is a very special one for me- I started it to commemorate a modelling buddy of mine- the versatile and (annoyingly)brilliant Robert Jan Sholte van Mast (aka SpeedyJ), who sadly passed 18 months ago.
Although I never met Robert in person, we shared common modelling interests, admired each others work and helped each other along the way as best as we could. He was far-far better modeller than I ever might become- he was simply brilliant. And I dearly miss him, his calm way, his nudging and his meaningfull feedback.
So because I build this combo in Roberts memory, there's no way I can accept a less than perfect job.
Bogi- I'm fine, buddy!
It's just... the world went bad- and mad- recently, so not enough time and mood for our beloved hobby...
Hope all is fine with you and yours!
Simon- thanks for your thumbs up!
I took some trainings in carpentry in my youth and ever since then I adore wood- its smell, shape, color and versatility. Thus I never skip the opportunity to represent wood through real wood.
Once again thank you all for the kind words!
Angel

Amazing work. I just ordered the Trailer and already have the Zvezda 4500 Maultier. I hope mine looks half as good as yours.
