"Clear Pale Red" is painted over the base colour.
The method of painting the base colour on top of the base colour is the same as painting layers in digital illustrations, but to be honest, I don't really know what I'm doing, so I'm painting by intuition.

Initially, I was thinking of masking and airbrushing the paint, but it looked more tedious than I expected, so I painted it with a brush.
The good thing about Mr Colour is that even with brush paint, the metallic colours shine through!

The product used for the water surface is called "Modelling Water" and is a silicone resin that cures in a few ten minutes when poured onto the surface.
It is easier and more convenient than using transparent resin.

The paint was applied as a base coat with GSI Creos Mr. Surfacer White 1000.
A coat of this is excellent as it will hardly peel off the paint to be applied later and improves the skin colour!

If I had to say then, these operations are carried out after soaking in a mould release agent remover sold in Japan under the name of Resin Wash.
The chemicals used as mould release agents are mostly oil, so if I remove this and paint the surfacer, the resin kits can be painted and masked without problems.

As it is glossy, it is adjusted to an appropriate degree of matting after painting.
