Thank you. It was certainly a journey. I literally did everything at least twice and that's no lie. I painted the hood no less than 4 times and the interior door panels were at lest 5 times before they came out satisfactory. But built up nice with a lot of patience and effort. Going to swear off cars for a bit

It looks nice. All white, no two tone with the curves. Nice. It's quite interesting, that you had such fitting issues. On my build, there where no problems at all - except the paint job. After a touch up onto 2K clear coat, the paint frinkled.

I had a lot of trouble getting the body onto the chassis. It's only my 3rd car so maybe there is an experience issue but I felt like I was forcing it onto the model and damaged some parts I had to go back and fix.

Album info

Revell 1958 Corvette Roadster. I have modified to make this a 1960 Corvette. The cosmetic differences between the 1958 and 1960 is the 60 does not have the hood louvers and he trunk tusks/rails which I filed and sanded off. This is the carbureted version.
I did detail the engine with hoses and fuel line. I added carpet using red and black embossing powder. Chrome was done via Molotow chrome shot through airbrush and then sealed with aqua gloss clear. Tamiya Xf2 White and interior red is Tamiya TS-49 Bright Red.
This is a tough build. I did not find the fit particularly good. The body shell is a tough fit down onto the frame/chassis. The mirrors and door handles are floating with no attachment points or assistance. However, this kit is infinitely better that the Revell 1960 Corvette kits which are horrible.
Pretty happy with the results from a yard away.
