A lot has been written about the F-14D kit of AMK, which turn into a long-winded story a few years ago and finally came to the market after a long waiting period: This part is wrong there, that one is too complicated or similar. Alas, the guys tried to produce the most detailed kit with the most options. But when they had to make many many corrections they managed to gain such enemies among the bored folks that most of them dragged it through the mud. I had the opportunity to get one of the first production. The kit is really detailed and I don't remember having difficulties during its construction, except for a few points due to the inadequacy of the manual. I said I don't remember, because I set aside this kit, which I started 2 years ago, just as it was about to end, when another project intervened, and I could not return to it after that. Therefore, some important details were erased from my memory. A kit which every part is very harmonious, kudos to the manufacturer. I haven't built Tamiya's kit yet, it's said to be less complex but more accurate than this one, I'll only be able to see the difference once I've built that one, too. One of the things that bothered me was that the wings had to be in one of 3 positions, so there is no possibility of moving the wings like we are used to in some kits. But I really don't know how possible it would be to do it in such a complex kit. One of the points I will criticize is that many details about ammunition are not given or they are given in a way that is not easily understood. That was one of the reasons why I left the kit unfinished. Anyway, I finally finished this kit last week, which has been waiting for varnish, decals and ammunition on the shelf for 2 years. It has taken its place in the showcase as one of the most eye-catching models in my collection at the moment.
