Italeri Saab JAS39 Gripen C 1/72
![Album image #1 Album image #1](/albums/img/8/3/1/1438831-120720-11-720.png)
![Album image #2 Album image #2](/albums/img/8/3/0/1438830-120720-99-720.png)
![Album image #3 Album image #3](/albums/img/8/4/4/1439844-120720-90-720.jpg)
Italeris antenas are too big, all require triming down.
![Album image #4 Album image #4](/albums/img/8/4/3/1439843-120720-20-720.jpg)
Putty use and water sandpaper
![Album image #5 Album image #5](/albums/img/8/4/2/1439842-120720-88-720.jpg)
Added small plates on vertical fin, like on a real jet.
![Album image #6 Album image #6](/albums/img/6/3/4/1444634-120720-85-720.jpg)
On left is Italeris Gripen nozzle, which hardly resemble real one. It's also some weird plastic that reacted to putty and acetone. And on the right is revells euro fighter nozzle. I will try to combine two to get the real look of volvos engine in afterburner mode.
![Album image #7 Album image #7](/albums/img/6/3/1/1444631-120720-19-720.jpg)
Some precise putty use ?
![Album image #8 Album image #8](/albums/img/6/3/3/1444633-120720-68-720.jpg)
Added that ring from original nozzle and another thin ring for additional metal part
![Album image #9 Album image #9](/albums/img/6/3/7/1444637-120720-21-720.jpg)
And at the end added the metal ring to make this nozzle as close to that Volvo engine, I'm happy with it.
![Album image #10 Album image #10](/albums/img/6/6/3/1483663-120720-70-720.jpg)
Nozzle is done, added some more details inside, but cannot be seen here
![Album image #11 Album image #11](/albums/img/6/7/0/1483670-120720-54-720.jpg)
Used pencil to mark where i need to rivet it
![Album image #12 Album image #12](/albums/img/6/6/4/1483664-120720-89-720.jpg)
Canopy masked
![Album image #13 Album image #13](/albums/img/6/6/5/1483665-120720-96-720.jpg)
Shading
![Album image #14 Album image #14](/albums/img/6/6/6/1483666-120720-67-720.jpg)
Shading
![Album image #15 Album image #15](/albums/img/6/6/7/1483667-120720-61-720.jpg)
Used Gunze 308 and added thin layer of white
![Album image #16 Album image #16](/albums/img/6/6/8/1483668-120720-64-720.jpg)
Used Gunze 308 and added thin layer of white
![Album image #17 Album image #17](/albums/img/6/6/9/1483669-120720-50-720.jpg)
Used Gunze 307 but did add thin layer of Tamiya light grey, to make better contrast
![Album image #18 Album image #18](/albums/img/2/4/1/1487241-120720-33-720.png)
Added the vents on the back, more and more i see them opened on reference pictures.
![Album image #19 Album image #19](/albums/img/2/4/2/1487242-120720-90-720.png)
Weathering
![Album image #20 Album image #20](/albums/img/2/4/3/1487243-120720-91-720.png)
Weathering, also decals are there, but in my opinion they are a bit too light, but it is what it is
