I was looking forward, this week, to someone posting a photo-report from Telford... Thank you for sharing these photo-albums!
(also: special thanks for not by-passing the civilian aircraft entries!) 👍 👍

Sooo. All the touch ups done, the small wheel well doors glued into place a third time and the Sparrows (?) attached with blue tack only as I consider to display the bird as seen on display in Mikasa any time in the future. And if so, it will be depicted without the rockets. And of course some final shots are mandatory.

What a lovely build. I agree with CaptGPF on the panel lines. Im impressed with the rear end also, looks like metal

This is a beautiful kit cast in immaculate resin with nice photoetch parts.
Thank you Snake Models for this special one.
Below I list a few things that caught my attention during the build. Maybe it will make assembly of the model even more enjoyable for others.
Kit and instructions contain some mistakes, some omissions and some queer stuff.
- Parts 7d and 13c were missing in my kit
- the wheels (part 1) actually consist of three parts
- part 6D is already cast onto the engine
- part 23 actually consist of two parts
- the exact location of the PE parts in step A is unclear
- in step A you need three pieces of PE2. The fret gives you alltogether 8 pieces designated PE2. Point is only: two of them have different shapes. Those two resemble the ones in the drawing. Only that the drawing is wrong. You need three of the six with the short lever. Then it works.
- some PE parts are labeled "L" and "R" in the instructions. There is no corresponding lettering on the fret.
- two PE parts designated 43 have different dimensions.
- in step B four PE pieces are labeled PE25 although two have different shapes
- PE31 is not labeled on the fret
- right side gear. PE57 exists in two shapes.
- there are no designated positions for quite a lot of the PE discs, although I feel, they are needed.
- Part 61 is redundant.
For Decals No 5 (two different shapes under the same number), 8, 9 and 10 no locations are indicated in the instructions. Neither did I see any of them in my references on the real vehicle .

I think there might also be a difference between these old Alclads and the 2nd generation (not mentioning the MiG rebottlings). I have a sample of each and the older it is the more agressive it seems.

In my case the two shades mentioned were aquired last.
I was pondering to do the metallic parts first or last. I think masking is easier this way. Let's see how it further progresses. I actually was highly motivated to go for the grey but had then to realise that a bit of detail stuff is required first.
Thanks guys for your input.

Welcome Villiers de Vos. I love the Unimog and will build this one pretty much out of the box. The ICM kit is really nice but should be build withe care as tolerances are tight and malalignments are punished down the road.

I am very disappointed by this product. Yes it is finer than the kit parts but it is far from clear. The suppose to be transparent areas are almost opaque and show heavy print lines. To achieve an improvement over the kits parts you will need to cut out the frame and put clear foil into it. This will be a major endeavour due the the fragility of the frame.
Not recommended.

Yeah, this Graupner boat - or better to say: pictures of it - will have to serve me when I carve the front part of the hull. The idea is to place the boat in heavy sea and in that scenario parts of the bow will be seen.

Robert, you are welcome any time. Thanks Jos and all the other mates for sneeking in and leaving a like.
I touched up the three tone camo but the Mr. Hobby Color paints did not behave nicely when brushed. So even even after the repair I've been unhappy with the result. I sanded the thick paint layer with a high grit, masked the dark brown color another time and airbrushed the defective areas. Not perfect but much better. Now onto the last detail paintings.
