This is a kit from the 70's that I found on ebay for a good price. I 've never built a kit from this manufacturer in memory, but i have seen that the parts are all white??? Also, I noticed that there are no instructions posted here for this kit. As soon as I get it, I will take out the instructions and post them here. Having digital copies of the instructions of a kit is brillant especially for optic focus challenged people like me.

Hardest part was the decals, and sometimes the instructions were not clear.

Just started this one last weekend. Thought I would take a break from jets and all the other crap going on in the world. Tamiya kits are amazing in their detail and quality.

I've got two other A-10's including one from Tamiya. I am going to try the putty out to see if I can get rid of seam lines.

So,here is why I bought another one of these. One way I am trying to protect my kits from dust is to clear coat them after I apply the decals. I made the mistake to spraying clear coat with the glass on, and trashed it. So the kit is a bit of a scrifice to repair my first.

Never again will I do a 1/700 sub. The parts are too small and hard to do any detail.

Trick is to find a submarine kit in 1:700 or 1:350, where the real life submarine is rather large. Though, some details probably don't look ok in that small scale, like railings.
My complaint is that some submarine model kits end up being these tiny models on the shelf.
I think a small model makes sense when you also have a larger ship in the same scale, then they complement each other.

I think the problems with this kit is that my fingers are too fat and my eyes are not as young as they use to be. I don't think it is entirely the model's

I posted the instructions and the back of the box to this topic. I just finished a fletcher class destroyer in honor of seeing the movie grayhound.

wow, finishing this kit was a little painful. Never again will I do a 1/700 scale sub. 1/350 will be as small as I go.

Strange as this may seem to some of you, the most difficult time I have with building model aircraft is to paint and assemble the clear parts. Any suggestions?

Ok, How in the world do people do the rigging on a 1/700 scale ship??? What material do you use?
