Hawker Siddeley Harrier GR.1

Well Gentleman, this was my first effort in Braille Scale since more than thirty years ago. I thought about it when I start detailing my scale 144 Beaufighter to build a model in a larger scale than my common scales 1/350 and 1/144. Quarter Scale was to large in size in my opinion so I choose 1/72. I grew up with Airfix, Matchbox and Revel in the 70’s and may it is a return to my beginnings in modelmaking but with much better and more detailed kits and – I hope – with more skills 😄

Following all the reviews linked on Scalemates the new tooled Airfix kits seems to be a good choice. A reasonable price and good details promise a lot of fun building the kit(s). I choose first the Harrier Gr.1, because I much like this capable jet, but some more kits fill my stash now.
