Well Martin, I take the photo in Duxford in 2008. According to my information this is the F-105D Thunderchief serial no. 59-1822, the well known Polish Glider flown by Don Kutyna. The Thud was shipped to Poland in 2009 and is now restored on display at the Polish Aviation Museum in Kraków.
May one of the Scalemates can confirm this information!

Confirmed info, seen it last year in Kraków/PL. I'm gonna watch this interesting project as I plan to build the same stuff in the future too.

I had this feeling too, my guess is they just repainted it. It's stored outdoor, so everything is closed and visitors are not able to see anything inside.
