JMSDF PBY-6A was at first in service with n°91 squadron at Omura Base near Nagasaki, from 1956, with the same livery of US Navy; I painted all the fuselage with Tamiya acril colors 30 % black rubber and 70 % deep blue (XF-8 + XF 85).
This aircraft (82 Omura-5882) shows in the photo a radio-compass up on the wing, between the two engines:
it was added from my old parts bank (picked up at Shizuoka Hobby Show 2 years ago at Hasegawa stand fro few coins).
