PZL-Mielec An-2T "Colt" 7447 of the Polish Air Force, intended to look as she looked in the mid-2000s. This aircraft entered service in 1967 and was retired in 2012. She was given a special colour scheme (with shark mouth) in 2008, and was preserved in Kraków by December 2012. She was used by some Polish Air Force aircrew and their families on the 1st of April, 1982, to defect to Vienna, Austria. In 2014 she was given a civil registration of SP-MLP with the Polish Aviation Museum.
The Polish military used the An-2 in large numbers. After some Soviet-produced aircraft entering service during the early-to-mid-50's, PZL-Mielec started production of the type in 1961. The Polish-produced examples entered service from 1962 with the Polish Air Force and Navy; a total number of 133 aircraft were delivered until 1979. The type's last flight with the Polish Air Force was held on the 14th of December, 2012 (the Polish Navy retired the type by 2002).
