Avro Vulcan B Mk2 XH607 Red Flag

XM607 was one of two aircraft that were painted in an unusual colour scheme for participation in a Red Flag exercise at Nellis AFB, during 1977. The aircraft’s undersides were repainted in a two-tone brown camouflage pattern, based on a mirror image of the pattern applied to the aircraft’s upper surfaces. The paint scheme was very short lived and it was removed when the aircraft returned to RAF Waddington.
