I don't mind subjects that have 2 or 3 variations but this subject has about 7 or 8 from the beginning to the last one! In the last 5 yrs it was in service I have found about 4 due to modern upgrades, the last one they removed some equipment as it sits now. Decisions, decisions!

In my Humble opinion, It's the only Mo I Know ! After Korea it was more or less a floating museum. I know it fired a few shots in Desert Storm, but if I'm not mistaken, It was retired in 1992 ! But will always be the Mighty Mo, and I know you will build a superb version with what ever you choose !

I agree with you, and so does Lode but it's very hard at this time to find that Tamaya kit or something close. I got this one at a decent price, besides I enjoyed the sci-fi movie Battleship. The Hornet and Mo to me have a lot to do with history.

Well, I suppose all those taxes your grandparents paid went to fund the construction of a battleship, not a museum or even a floating assault battery. So, I tend to agree with you. Not that an Aussie has a right to an opinion on any American Institution!

O.k : Progress report. I now know why I have never done a ship! Don't get me wrong the detailing is unlimited!, as long as you have the money! I do not, and couldn't afford the big kits with everything, the PE kit I did get by accident was for the older ship, and is lacking a lot. When I went to buy the correct one it was out of stock, so I had to buy a railing kit from another ship. also from 1987- 1991 the ship went through a lot of changes, some minor, some major. So I'm averaging the changes and doing a lot of scratch building on this, some of it I have taken pics of but not all of them. Having to piece meal the railings is a pain in the ass! I hope to post some pics by the end of the week. Good day to you all!

Peter, you think? I was hoping to do some ship building, not shit building. LOL! Twice I came close to deep sixing the project but then realized how much money would be going with it!

Captains log: Ship building with PE is like going to church, You sit quietly and pay attention, they you scream out Jesus's name when a piece of PE goes somewhere, you then get on your knees and try to find it as you pray, then you sit back down regardless weather you found it or not. you either thank God, or continue on, then you repeat the process!
