The 57 I had was a 4 Dr. 210, it was pink & white !!
I bought a resin kit 210 a year or so ago (Star Models). It recommends an AMT donor kit.
Well, I have 3 57 kits, the AMT hardtop w/opening trunk, the OLD Revell (1985) w/ opening doors & trunk, and the newer Revell 2 Dr. sedan kit.
The AMT chassis is far too wide, the newer Revell seems to fit the best.
None of the hoods come close to fitting, certainly not the AMT. They're all too short & too narrow in the back, too wide in front. All the kit bodies are a bit wider than the resin one. None of the 3 kit bumpers fit right, they're all too wide.
I've been messing with it for a couple of days and getting pretty discouraged about making it work. I'd have to cut the bumpers in half & narrow them a good 1/8", then I'd have to narrow the front of a hood and add to the rear sides and back end.
I don't know.
Besides that the R windshield wiper isn't even in it's hole under the front glass,...it looks real funny....and...there's no edges on the front fenders where they meet the cowl under the windshield. The body curve just below the rear side window is awful.
It really looks like someone took a 2 dr and rescribed the lines & added a pillar to make a 4 dr,...and did a pretty crummy job of it !!
It's pretty BAD. I must say I'm disappointed. I wish I had looked closer at it when I first got it, I would have sent it back!!
I haven't decided what I'm gonna do with it yet, but it's not looking very good.
I'll get some pics posted tomorrow.
