So much surgery required on this kit. None of the major fuselage elements go together nicely and almost everything requires either sanding, gap filling, geometric correction or all three.
Fun if you're in the mood to flex your modelling skills but I'm kind of crap at this so this is a training excercise for me more than anything.

I was just looking at building a Liberator and noticed that every kit is basically a variation of a 20+ year old Hasegawa kit. What a fortuitous surprise that info about this kit just dropped. I'll hold off and wait for reviews of this.

Thinking of buying this?
Look at the value proposition first! It is a repackaged Revell kit from 2014 with a bunch of Eduard addons:
- Eduard decals with the horrible, atrocious Eduard budget-carrier-film-on-top decals
- Two resin ejector seats
- PE sheet with pre-painted cockpit details and seatbelts
- Masking sheet
- Eduard instruction booklet
- Replacement weighted wheels
Now, for the MSRP of ~$110 / ~€110 this is ABSOLUTELY not worth it. In fact, it's a ripoff. However, if you manage to score one for about $70/€60 then it's absolutely worth it. Take a look at what other scalemates members offer and then go shopping.

This is a classic Revell 90's kits. The fuselage doesn't go together well, gaps all over the place and the wing vanes are wide open and requires proper surgery to conform to the wing shape. Also, opening and closing the wings will rupture the wing vanes because they aren't engineered to facilitate wing movement.
The canopy is horrid but the decals are the worst offenders. A gorgeous A3-sized HUGE sheet filled with ultra thick decals that refuse to thin down, regardless of product. I've tried Ultimate extra strong, Micro sol, Mark fit strong and whatever gunze's is called. Nothing works.
But hey, at the end of it all it was still kind of fun.
