The CAF never flew the F-5E Tiger II. They were saddled with the older, almost useless CF-5A Freedom Fighter. However, I won this old Monogram 1:48 kit at a hobby show back in the early 1980's, and I didn't have much interest in any American versions of the Tiger II at the time, so I decided to to do it in CAF livery. Superficially, the two a/c resemble each other, and that was good enough for me! Call it a what-if project, if you like.
