Project Have Doughnut - Exploitation of the MIG-21

Ideas

On Aug. 16, 1966, Iraqi Air Force Capt. Munir Radfa defected to Israel in a MiG-21 jet fighter. The MiG-21 was, at the time, a state-of-the-art Soviet aircraft and the pride of Russia’s aircraft industry. The defection, orchestrated by the Israeli government, soon gave both Israel and the United States access to intelligence from a front-line Soviet fighter that the two nations would face in battle in the coming years.

Right now I am ordering some AM and decals...wanna do this build in between. I am fascinated by the story through the documentary about Area 51 on National Geographic 😄 !

Damn Jos, I am salivating! One of the rarest incarnations of this widely produced flying machine. But the MiG-15bis was the first and this will be one of my projects in the future. Until then I will be watching interestingly.

I first read about this MiG-21 in a greek magazine called Flight and Space quite a few years backl and I was pretty excited about the whole story.
