This is the Tamiya 1/48 Mosquito FB Mk. VI built as RF606 VV-T "T for Tommy" from 235 sqd. which were a part of Costal Command and was stationed at Banff - Scotland.
On March 30th 1945 it took part in a raid against shipping in Skien and Porsgrunn - Norway. It was flown by Flt. Lt. William "Bill" Knowles DFC and Flt. Sg. Lawrence Thomas.
On the way to the target RF606 had to take over the lead for the mission, as the lead plane experienced engine problems.
The attack on the ships were to be carried out at ultra-low level. Eyewitnesses said that some of the planes flew just a few feet above the water.
While the attack was going on Knowles warned the attacking squadrons that there were a high number of high tension cables in the target area. A few seconds later RF606 likely hit one of these cables and crashed in the hill east of the quay, killing both Knowles and Thomas.
They are now buried at Nordre gravlund in Skien.
RF606 was the only plane lost in this raid.
