Hobbyboss Su-47 "Berkut"

Finished! Hobbyboss 1/72 Sukhoi Su-47 "Berkut" (Golden Eagle).

This was the first ever modern aircraft I have built, and it was definitely an interesting build! A rather unique aircraft the Su-47, with only one built, it was used as a test-bed for forward-swept wings.

The kit itself was of reasonable quality, parts fit was not the best, but was acceptable. I had some issues with painting due to unreliable spray cans, in the future I may try to avoid using spray cans. The decals went on pretty much fine except for one of the stripes on the bottom, which seperated into two pieces. I was able to put them back together in the right places though. If I could do anything different building this again, I would have liked to have built it with landing gear down. Sadly I had no shelf space left, so had to make it gear up in order to hang it from the ceiling.

Also, it's huge! Included are some comparisons with my AZmodel 1/72 Kikka-Otsu, to show just how big modern aircraft are. Note that both of these kits are the same scale!
