Glencoe Retriever Rocket

Purchased in November 2018, I decided that I needed an example of this cool rocket that blends the 'Buck Rogers' era of space and what was happening in real life in the mid-1950s. It's really cool to see models like these early concept and drawing board spacecraft done by different folks who paint them in ways that don't necessarily follow the box art or the instructions. I have an old copy of LIFE magazine with von Braun and the large scale model used in Disney's Man in Space special, and I've decided to depict that in this small scale model.

Currently the model is completed, but the display stand needs some finishing, and the decals for the nose on the starboard side need to be added.
